Shafer Therapy
Shafer Therapy is a small pediatric speech and language therapy practice in Grand Island, Nebraska. We specialize in treating preschool and school age children using a whole brain approach to treating speech, language, reading, and executive functioning skills. Our evidence based treatment approaches maximize your child's brain potential for optimal learning throughout their every day activities, whether that's at home or within the educational setting. Screenings, evaluations, and therapy can be provided on site or within a child's natural environment.
Meet
Katie Shafer
M.S., CCC-SLP
Katie Shafer, M.S., CCC-SLP is a pediatric speech language pathologist that specializes in using a whole brain approach to treating various speech and language disorders. Katie graduated from the University of Nebraska Kearney with a master's in speech language pathology. She has a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing-Association (ASHA) and is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Nebraska. Katie has completed extensive training from the Masgutova Institute regarding primitive reflex integration. She has also completed various reading development certifications including Lively Letters and LETRS certifications.
